Vruchtvlees wins 3 European Design Awards

Out of more than 1500 applications, from the best digital agencies in Europe, Vruchtvlees has been distinguished with 3 awards this year. The rebranding of Miro received two awards: gold in the category 'Digital identity application' and silver for 'Logo animation'. The new brand identity for TAQA Theater de Vest/Grote Kerk Alkmaar received a bronze award in the category 'Printed identity application'.

Remote rebranding in the spotlights

A rebranding in 3 months with a remote team? Exactly one year after the launch of the Miro-identity, this way of working is a reality for everyone. The identity was received with praise, got a positive review on Brand New Under Consideration, and can now add two European Design Awards to that list.


The playful combination of colors, characters, illustrations, and typefaces, makes the brand identity stand out. The comprehensive design system helps to create a consistent brand experience at every contact point. From UX/UI-micro interactions to app icons. The dynamic logo consists of four ‘collaborative characters’ that together form the building blocks of the brand. The characters interact with the medium and are scaled or combined accordingly. But they also convey a meaning on their own. This enables Miro, as a digital-first tool, to get their story across in a universal way independent of languages and cultural differences.

A prominent duo: Theater de Vest & Grote Kerk Alkmaar

The brand identity of TAQA Theater de Vest/Grote Kerk Alkmaar is awarded a bronze award. The colorful identity ties the, for outsiders two different, organizations together. It’s now clear for everyone that the church and theatre are part of one family. 


In this dynamic brand system, the power lies in the contrast: De Vest is sharp and modern, De Kerk is big and bombastic. Together these attributes form the basis of the identity. Architectonic details of the buildings form patterns, enclose artist photography, and adapt to every target group and event. The new identity ads layers to all communication.
